Meadowfoam Seed Oil (Limnanthes alba) - Meadowfoam seed oil is a thin extremely fast absorbing oil and is characteristically similar to Jojoba oil. Meadowfoam oil comes from the native wildflower of the northwestern United States and is quite distinctive. Meadowfoam oil is one of the most stable oils on the market and due to its high levels of Vitamin E, other oils in a blend will last longer. Meadowfoam oil is made up primarily of eicosenoic acid, and also contains erucic and brassic acid. Meadowfoam has a uniquely velvety texture that does not leave behind a greasy residue. It also adheres to the beard and skin to protect it from the harsh elements and is used In many sun-screen products. With a comedogenic rating of 1 Meadowfoam oil will not clog pores.

Broccoli Seed Oil - Broccoli seed oil is a unique, exceptional carrier oil. It is high in vitamin A and E. However, it's biggest claim to fame is that it's mainly comprised of Erucic acid (omega-9). What does this mean? Broccoli seed oil is so incredible that it is called a "natural silicone," providing silky smooth hair, no tangles, and a lustrous shine. It is simultaneously a light, fast absorbing, non-greasy oil that won't clog pores with a comedogenic rating of only 1. This oil not only absorbs quickly but it also leaves a protective barrier on the beard. Finally, broccoli seed oil has UV radiation protection benefits. We are proud to be one the first companies to bring this oil to the market and have since made it extremely popular.

Hemp Seed Oil - Hemp seed oil is a wonderfully balanced oil, rich in linoleic acid (Omega-6) and linolenic acid (Omega-3), making it excellent for all skin types. High antioxidant levels give hemp seed oil anti-aging benefits while it's mild humectant property can plump up skin, and possibly reduce wrinkles. With it's emollient properties, hemp seed oil leaves the skin and hair soft and smooth. Hemp seed oil is medium weight with average absorption and a comedogenic rating of 0.

Castor Oil - Castor oil is a versatile product with many beneficial properties. What makes castor oil special? It contains up to 94% ricinoleic acid and is the only oil with this fatty acid. Castor oils characteristic thickness is thanks to the unique binding structure of the ricinoleic acid. This gives castor oil unparalleled coating abilities, especially for the hair shaft. This can prevent breakage, reduce split ends, straighten hair, lock in moisture, and the potential for increased hair growth (though this is unsubstantiated). With a comedogenic rating of 1 and high levels of vitamin E, this thick oil provides an effective barrier to protect and replenish the skin. It even reduces inflammation and attracts excess oil and dirt. Castor oil is an amazing addition to any carrier blend, providing increased oil thickness, skin and hair protection, and helps straighten those curly beard hairs.

Linoleic Acid (Omega-6) - Moisturizes the beard and promotes beard growth. Exhibits anti-inflammatory properties and promotes moisture retention in skin and beard.

Oleic Acid (Omega-9) - Maintains the softness of the skin and beard. Stimulates the growth of thicker and longer beard. Helps eliminate beardruff.

Gamma-Linolenic Acid (Omega-6) - GLA is one of the rarest essential fatty acids to naturally occur in the plant kingdom, as only few species contain it.

Alpha-Linolenic Acid (Omega-3) -

Babassu Oil - Babassu Oil is a semi-solid oil that will harden in cold temperatures. This oil has a similar texture and feel to coconut oil, however, it's far less greasy and is much lighter than coconut oil and imparts a velvety feel after applying.  If you are prone to acne or have oily skin Babassu Oil is definitely the oil you want to use. This oil promotes healthy skin by absorbing deep into the skin which allows the beard hair to retain its elasticity and strength.

Cera Bellina -

Sunflower Wax -

Beeswax - Our natural beeswax comes directly from an apiary and has a slight honey scent. The beeswax will provide an all day hold.

Babassu Oil - See Beard Butter

Lanolin - No animals are harmed in the production of making lanolin. After hours and hours of testing we believe the positives of using lanolin in our balms, even though it is only a small portion of the formula outweighs the negatives. Lanolin allows us to use less beeswax, but more importantly it acts as a lubricant on the skin and beard. It gives the skin and beard a soft, smooth appearance. Similar to beeswax, lanolin provides a waterproof barrier around the beard but is no where near as hard.
