 -BEARD OIL INGREDIENTS-

Camellia Seed Oil  - Camellia seed oil is a luxury oil from Eastern Asia containing vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. It is primarily composed of Oleic acid. Camellia Seed oil is a quick absorbing, non greasy oil. It coats and protects the hair and skin, while locking in moisture. Camellia seed has wonderful emollient properties, meaning your hair and skin will be left soft and smooth. This oil will not clog pores with a comedogenic rating of only 1. Last, this oil can strengthen hair and protect skin from UV radiation. What we love about using this oil in our products is that it's a naturally drying oil. Meaning this helps our products be less greasy then our competitors.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil (Limnanthes alba) -Meadowfoam seed oil is a thin extremely fast absorbing oil and is characteristically similar to Jojoba oil, however, Meadowfoam is a true oil whereJojoba is a liquid wax. Meadowfoam oil comes from the native wildflower of the northwestern United States and is quite distinctive. Meadowfoam oil is one of the most stable oils on the market and due to its high levels of Vitamin E, other oils in a blend will last longer. Meadowfoam oil is made up primarily of eicosenoic acid, and also contains erucic and brassic acid. Meadowfoam has a uniquely velvety texture that does not leave behind a greasy residue. It also adheres to the beard and skin to protect it from the harsh elements and is used In many sun-screen products. With a comedogenic rating of 1 Meadowfoam oil will not clog pores.

Fractionated Coconut Oil - Unlike regular Coconut Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO) always remains in liquid form. This is because FCO has had the long chain fatty acids removed. FCO is a very light, non-greasy, and extremely fast absorbing oil that will fully penetrate the hair shaft and the skin under the beard. Why is this important? Some oils will sit on the hair shaft but FCO protects the hair from the inside.

Broccoli Seed Oil - Broccoli seed oil is the most unique and exceptional carrier oil. It is high in vitamin A and E. However, it's biggest claim to fame is that it's mainly comprised of Erucic acid (omega-9). What does this mean? Broccoli seed oil is known as a "natural silicone', providing silky smooth beard, no tangles, and a lustrous shine. It is simultaneously a light, fast absorbing, and non-greasy oil that won't clog pores with a comedogenic rating of 1. This oil not only absorbs quickly but it also leaves a protective barrier on the beard. Finally, broccoli seed oil has UV radiation protection benefits. We are proud to be one the first companies to bring this oil to the market and have since made it extremely popular.

Kukui Oil -

Castor Oil - Castor oil is a versatile product with many beneficial properties. What makes castor oil special? It contains up to 94% ricinoleic acid and is the only oil with this fatty acid. Castor oils characteristic thickness is thanks to the unique binding structure of the ricinoleic acid. This gives castor oil unparalleled coating abilities, especially for the hair shaft. This can prevent breakage, reduce split ends, straighten hair, lock in moisture, and the potential for increased hair growth (though this is unsubstantiated). With a comedogenic rating of 1 and high levels of vitamin E, this thick oil provides an effective barrier to protect and replenish the skin. It even reduces inflammation and attracts excess oil and dirt. Castor oil is an amazing addition to any carrier blend, providing increased oil thickness, skin and hair protection, and helps straighten those curly beard hairs.

-BEARD BUTTER INGREDIENTS-

Shea Butter (Refined & Unrefined) Shea butter is highly moisturizing and helps to hydrate both the beard hair and the underlying skin. It seals in moisture, preventing dryness and making the beard feel softer and more manageable. Shea butter has emollient properties that help to soften and condition the beard hair. It can smooth rough and coarse hair strands, making them easier to style and reducing frizz and tangles. Shea butter is rich in vitamins A and E, as well as essential fatty acids, which nourish the hair follicles and promote healthier beard growth. It can help strengthen the beard hair and prevent breakage. It can provide relief for those experiencing beardruff (beard dandruff) or dry, itchy skin beneath the beard. Shea butter forms a protective barrier on the hair and skin, shielding them from environmental pollutants, harsh weather conditions, and UV radiation. This can help maintain the overall health and appearance of the beard.

Mango Butter -  Mango butter, derived from the seeds of the mango fruit, offers several benefits for a beard. Mango butter is more firm than shea butter. Mango butter is rich in stearic acid and a higher proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids like linoleic acid. Mango butter has emollient properties that help to soften and condition the beard hair. It can improve the texture of coarse or wiry hair, making it smoother, more flexible, and easier to style.

Babassu Oil - Babassu Oil is a semi-solid oil that will harden in cold temperatures. This oil has a similar texture and feel to coconut oil, however, it's far less greasy and is much lighter than coconut oil and imparts a velvety feel after applying.  If you are prone to acne or have oily skin Babassu Oil is definitely the oil you want to use. This oil promotes healthy skin by absorbing deep into the skin which allows the beard hair to retain its elasticity and strength.

-BEARD BALM INGREDIENTS-

Beeswax - Our natural beeswax comes directly from an apiary and has a slight honey scent. The beeswax will provide an all day hold.

Lanolin - No animals are harmed in the production of making lanolin. After hours and hours of testing we believe the positives of using lanolin in our balms, even though it is only a small portion of the formula outweighs the negatives. Lanolin allows us to use less beeswax, but more importantly it acts as a lubricant on the skin and beard. It gives the skin and beard a soft, smooth appearance. Similar to beeswax, lanolin provides a waterproof barrier around the beard but is no where near as hard.
